Ivory Coast starts construction of F Tower vying to be 2nd tallest skyscraper in Africa – Following the appointment of BESIX, an international construction, property development, and concessions business located in Brussels, as the F Tower abidjan project site manager and civil engineer, building of the F Tower Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire, is slated to begin this month. The Skyscraper will be constructed in the city center of Abidjan and will be the sixth skyscraper in the city’s business district.
Besix was chosen by the project’s developer, the Ivorian Ministry of Construction, Housing, and Urban Planning, in collaboration with PFO Africa, a local firm that specializes in complex and large-scale projects in all areas of construction and public works, and also serves as the designer for the F Tower. Pierre Sironval, the BESIX Group’s Deputy CEO, commented on the appointment, saying that the company is “extremely proud” to be a part of the construction of the 283m F Tower, which will be the country’s tallest building and second tallest building inAfrica, after the 385m Iconic Tower in Egypt. This seems to be achievable since the 300 meter Pinnacle Tower project in Kenya seem to have been stalled.
