Ghana's 1st digital currency ready for piloting in September

The Ghanaian government is looking to pilot its central bank digital currency in two month’s time. Also known as the ‘E-Cedi’, the digital currency is expected to operate in a sandbox in the interim before being introduced to the general public as legal tender for financial transactions.
