A strange image of an “Algerian gorilla fish” has been making rounds online and people are confused about its authenticity. It was allegedly captured by a man in Central Trinidad this month and has since gone viral with many not convinced it’s an actual animal.
Instagram user @therealtarzann reposted the photo of a man holding the gigantic creature, which has a seal-like body but with large fins and a gorilla-like face. The post has over 300,000 likes and millions of views, but the actual origins of the photo remain unclear. Many are unconvinced that the creature is really and believe it to be a product of AI or Photoshop. However, some saw the funny side to the edited image.
